We will be updating the US-based Data Ingestion (Tracking) API service, reachable at api.segment.io, on 28 February 2022 between 8:00 am and 9:00 am US Pacific time to return an HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) response header for all valid API requests. There is no downtime expected for the service, and no TLS changes are being made.
After this change is complete, responses from the Data Ingestion (Tracking) API service will include a "Strict-Transport-Security" response header. User agents that comply with HSTS, such as web browsers, should then avoid attempting unencrypted HTTP connections to the service. The service shall continue to reject unencrypted HTTP requests as before.
